Measuring Tahoe's Greenhouse Gas Emissions

This Event has no scheduled dates at this time. It last occurred on Friday, March 5, 2021.
Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, Measuring Tahoe’s Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Event Description:

An informational webinar about an updated GHG emission inventory for the Tahoe Basin to include an overview of climate change, greenhouse gas emission inventories, the role of our forests in climate change, and next steps for addressing climate change at Lake Tahoe.

Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions trap heat in the atmosphere causing the climate to warm. Human caused emissions from vehicles, shipping, and more are leading to drastic climate changes that threaten Lake Tahoe. An inventory of Tahoe’s GHG emissions will measure local progress on emission reduction and identify areas for additional action.
