Litter League Clean up Days
Sierra State Parks Foundation is tackling the litter issue through educational messaging and The Litter League Clean Up Days at Kings Beach State Recreation Area (KSRA) and Donner Memorial State Park. This ongoing event will be held every 1st Monday and Friday of each month through September 6 (9-10 a.m.). Everyone is invited to join The Litter League’s effort to preserve the scenic treasures that are our parks. Working together to remove litter will not only help preserve the scenic beauty of the parks but also ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Sierra State Parks Foundation’s Volunteer Coordinator, Jamie Fong, will always meet volunteers at the KSRA main parking lot and the Donner Memorial State Park’s Visitor Center. Clean-up days are at Donner Memorial State Park every Monday and Kings Beach State Recreation Area every first Friday. All that is required is to bring reusable gloves and an optional trash grabber.
