TRUCKEE RIVER

WATER CONDITIONS
Water flows continue to fluctuate due to releases at Donner lake, Prosser creek and Boca reservoir. From the boca outflow upstream, wading is manageable through Glenshire up to Tahoe City. The lower river in the canyon has high flows so take care while you’re wading and fish the inside edges.

FLOWS: Tahoe City 69.2 CFS, Glenshire 240 CFS, and Farad Exit 955 CFS
TIPS FOR THE WEEK
Indicator nymphing is producing some quality fish. Large stonefly imitations, March brown nymphs, San Juan worms and small BWO nymphs all match the hatch right now. Fish the softer water near the tail outs of the pools, walking speed water is always the best bet this time of year.

SUGGESTED FLIES
BH Gummy Worm #12, Pat’s Rubber Legs #6, Twenty Incher #8, Pheasant Tail #18, Jigged Hares Ear Tungsten #14, Super Chernobyl Pink #8, Parachute Adam’s #18, Mop Fly Chartreuse #10
