Lake Tahoe Wellness Weekend
Wellness Weekend 2019 will feature a revamped schedule focusing on stress management.
Interactive educational seminars and movement workshops designed for people of all abilities and walks of life will inspire, educate, and rejuvenate.
A wide range of modalities inspired by Eastern and Western philosophy and practice will be featured, and a local artisan and wellness services marketplace celebrates creators, makers, and wellness practitioners.
Meals are included in the weekend rate, as well as social hours and beer, wine, & kombucha tastings.

7:00 – 8:00 am Sunday Sunrise Yoga with Caitlin
Location: Mountain Ballroom
After a weekend full of educational seminars and movement workshops start your Sunday morning with Sunrise yoga – allowing the body and mind the time and space to soak up your Wellness Weekend. The class will be a relaxing but rejuvenating class – building some heat while challenging the mind and body then allowing yourself to fully absorb the benefits of safely stretching with an emphasis on breath-work.

Restorative yoga with Deborah Lapkin
Restorative yoga is an important aspect of practice for all practitioners. The yogic concept of conservation of energy demands that we listen to the internal rhythms of the body and respect the need for rest. Just as we lie down to rest the body when we sleep each night, we must recognize the energetic cycles of the body and give the body a chance to regenerate. Restorative yoga is just what everyone needs.

Your daily lifestyle and stress response are closely connected. We are faced with numerous variables that we commonly stack upon ourselves from the moment we wake up to the time we go to sleep.
Technology, finances, family, work, health, and the future remains constantly on our minds. We will recap on the various sources of stress, and how they impact our cognitive function, physical performance, and overall well-being. Additionally, you will learn more natural mind body and spirit techniques to help you relax and stay focused. You will leave this weekend with valuable takeaways and action items to help you be in more control of your stress response mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Then you can begin to embrace your positive power of stress and turn it into your ally! Gradual steps will help you become more successful in achieving long lasting lifestyle change. If you find yourself in a flight or fight situation, take a deep breath, remember what you have learned this weekend, and take that first step!
