Event Description: 

In this workshop, learn the basics of spinning wool on a top whorl drop spindle. With an emphasis on the local, participants will be working with and taking home handmade spindles from Sebastopol, CA and regional wool. In addition to the hands-on experience, this workshop will also be covering a brief history of wool growing and manufacturing as well as the legacy of sheep ranching in the Sierra Nevadas.

*Participants are encouraged to take breaks as needed throughout the workshop. There will be additional wool and tools available for participants to try/experience.
